Read and laugh out loud - I love especially the reference to Dr. Slump, one of my favorite anime as a kid - have to revisit it.
Everyone's favorite emoji began in Japan. But without Google, it may have stayed there.
I love Evernote, but not everyone does - it's big, you need an account for sharing notes etc. Google Keep is simpler and "leightweight" - or pre-installed if you are a Nexus user - so this is a no brainer for sharing simple Notes between me and my partner.

I just come around to this with the chrome extension that shows interesting places on the new tab in Chrome. Really Really interesting - more than the classic cule de sac.

This is in my opinion huge ... especially making Visual Studio free for small teams and supporting iOS and Android Development (although only Javascript/HTML at the moment). This will give .net Developers a chance to reach out to new audiences and create applications for multiple platforms.
I think that this will expand the variety of apps and it will be great for small/medium firms you have legacy software developed in .net and couldn't afford to start over from scratch. With this move they can port their software to Linux and Mac and maybe also extend into mobile apps.

The newly free Blackmagic Fusion will not only give Adobe some hard times - also established VFX Artist will be faced with a lot more competition in the future.
Making this professional software free for everyone will make it a defacto standard on which most new VFX Artists will train on. Sure you could pirate the software before for training - but then you had to choose between After Effects, Fusion and others. Now you will just try out first Fusion.
This will bring down salaries for VFX artists I imagine and push them to become even better, since just knowing a tool everyone can afford to learn isn't a distinguishing factor anymore.
BTW: A quick tip if you are wondering why Blackmagic Fusion 7.5 can't import/export MP4s - you need to have installed Apple's free Quicktime Player (might seem obvious, but on my freshly installed machine it wasn't)

Add a File to Multiple Folders in Google Drive without Copying
This is an awesome trick and it works great and can be very useful for logos and other files you might want to re-use and be sure that the correct version of the file is always used.
A couple of things I noticed:
* if you rename a file it will get renamed everywhere - so watch out.
* You cannot see in your normal file structure if the file is the original or a clone (reference). Help your future self by adding something to your filename - like "_universal" or "_xdrive"
* You can see all the instances of the file when you look at the details panel in the web version of Google Drive and eliminate single locations at will

Did you know that Google Drive lets you place the same file or folder into multiple folders simultaneously. This prevents you from creating duplicate copies of the files in your Drive.

I like this animations - and in spirit of material design, where transitions are a big thing it makes totally sense.

This is actually bigger than people might think. Many Apps and web apps use Apple Emojis without the propper license and the open source variations you can find until now are ugly to say the least. This move will actually bring well designed emojis to more projects.
Now everyone can take advantage of them!
