Gmail Tap, or how even old technology can look like a innovation

I like Google's April Fools Day jokes. There are many and they are often not so easy too spot. I like this one especially because it pranks Apple's presentation videos and how Apple tries to upsell small innovations with limited features as the holy grail of simplicity.

"A dash and a dot, to communicate with the world, what could be easier"

Free alternative to shutting down Email Oracle

Email Oracle, a nice service and extension for Google Mail (Gmail) to track your emails. It's a great way to see if your recipient opens your email. Unfortunately the service is shutting down. So I've found an alternative. More after the break.

Search your GMail from your Firefox search box

I looked for a way to search my Inbox directly from the Firefox search box without another addon. I've found a way through the Opensearch capability of firefox. Since it's handy I wanted to share it with you even when it's not strictly design related ;-).
